Adventure:Equip

Adventure: Equip is how we seek to dig in further to learning and practicing what we believe. These classes aim to prioritize understanding the Word, our theological beliefs, and spiritual practices. Our aim is not just to understand more, but study together and practice alongside one another so that our lives can be transformed. From those just beginning their adventure with Jesus to those that have traveled far with Him, there is a place for you here as we seek to be more like Jesus and become a stronger Biblical community.

Join us for Adventure:Equip!

Weekly Sermons
(Conference Room)
Learning to Abide
(Worship Center Classroom)
Walking Meditations - Spiritual Wayfinding
(Farside + Adventure Walking Trail)
Together, our class will explore and build on the previous week's sermon, seeking to find the way scripture is leading us and applying it to our lives. We will be using our Sermon Note Discussion Questions and invite you to come join us for this discussion based group!
The Dude abides… but what does it mean for a disciple of Jesus to abide?  Jesus invites us into something deeper than simply knowing about God or trying harder to be better Christians. He invites us to remain in Him—to make our home in His love and allow that love to shape who we are becoming.  In Learning to Abide, we'll slow down and pay attention to our life with God, explore the stories that have shaped us, the ways we have learned to see God, the longings beneath the surface of our lives, and the things that can keep us from receiving His love.  Join us as we do all of this and probably make a number of Big Lebowski references as well…
Equip is a place that we get to not just use our heads, but put our faith into action alongside one another.  Join me as we use the book Spiritual Wayfinding: 33 Walking Meditations for Navigating Life with Embodied Wisdom as a guide for this class.  We'll meet in the farside to read a devotional and the walking meditation for that day, and then we'll head out to the Adventure Walking trail to immediately try the practice of walking meditation at your own comfortable walking pace.  Wear good trail walking shoes and bring a rainjacket -- we plan to do this rain or shine!
