Who We Are
Adventure Youth is the student ministries at Adventure of Faith Church, for students in 6th-12th grade! Adventure Youth is a safe, loving and accepting environment for students of all backgrounds & experiences to grow & learn in. Our desire at Adventure Youth is to help draw students & all those involved with its programs closer to Jesus, first and foremost. Not to a program or person or thing, but the Savior.

What We Do
Adventure Youth meets regularly on Wednesday nights during BaseCamp and Sunday mornings before Sunday service for Adventure:Equip class. Other opportunities for the Youth:
- Sunday Service
- Youth Events
- Serving
- Summer Camp
- Confirmation Class

What's Different
We are allowing for opportunities & space for the Holy Spirit to create humble & loving disciples that also put Jesus first and go on to lead adventurous, radical and sacrificial lives for Jesus and His kingdom. And as we figure out what it means to be a Christ follower, we would always do it together, as a group, no matter the age or background, whether we make mistakes or not, that we figure it out together. We are family! Join our journey!

Join us for Adventure:Equip!
Classes: Sundays 9:00-9:45am:
Adventure: Equip is how we seek to dig in further to learning and practicing what we believe. These classes aim to prioritize understanding the Word, our theological beliefs, and spiritual practices. Our aim is not just to understand more, but study together and practice alongside one another so that our lives can be transformed. From those just beginning their adventure with Jesus to those that have traveled far with Him, there is a place for you here as we seek to be more like Jesus and become a stronger Biblical community.

Meet our high school leaders.

High School Youth Leader
Jennifer Edlin
Hi, I'm Jennifer. I started attending Adventure of Faith in 2022 while our older son was enrolled in preschool here. While I didn't grow up in the church, I'm so incredibly thankful to be part of a church community now and that our boys will get that experience. I'm really looking forward to continuing to build relationships with the youth at our church. I enjoy baking, reading, crocheting, and knitting in my free time.

High School Youth Leader
Amanda Burns
Hi, I'm Amanda. I am a mom of our (almost 5) and I love all sorts of crafty and adventurous things. I became a Christian when I was really young, but I struggled with doubt through my teens and early twenties. When I faced the hardest time in my life God showed up with answers big time. Now I love sharing the good news and the clear evidence for our belief in God with others.

High School Youth Leader
Jason Edlin
Hi, I'm Jason. I'm a father of two. I started attending Adventure of Faith when my oldest son was attending preschool here. My wife Jennifer and I started going to BaseCamp not long after. I recently became a covenant partner. Outside of church I enjoy teaching my son to drive (he's 3) and coaching my older son in little league baseball. I look forward to working with the youth and hope to encourage them in their walk with Jesus and help build a community.

High School Youth Leader
Robert Brady
I’m a lifelong member of the church—which either means incredible dedication or that I never figured out how to leave. I bring practical skills, dry humor, and a heart for youth ministry. When I’m not elbow-deep in an engine or fixing whatever broke this week, I’m mentoring students and turning everyday conversations into moments of discipleship. People say I can “fix anything,” but sometimes it’s not the car—it’s the heart, the attitude, or the group chat that just won’t stop blowing up. I aim to model a faith that’s real, practical, and just a little sarcastic—because following Jesus doesn’t mean losing your personality.
Meet our middle school leaders.

Middle School Youth Leader
Becca Rutan
Hi, I’m Becca, though most kids know me as “Miss Becca.” I’ve been part of AOF since 2002 and grew up as a bit of a “church rat,” always helping out and jumping into everything from youth choirs and mission trips to small groups and Sunday school. I’ve been teaching Trailblazers for years and have also spent over seven years with Adventure Youth, walking with a group of girls all the way from middle school to graduation. Now I get to start fresh with new junior high girls while still teaching Trailblazers on Sundays. At home, life is full and fun with my husband Neil, our kids Cecilia and Rodger, our dog Max, five chickens, and lots of Disney magic.

Middle School Youth Leader
Cami Seaton
Hello! I'm Cami Seaton, a preschool teacher with nearly 20 years of experience and a heart for serving youth. As a wife of 29 years to Jay, mother of three adult sons (two of whom are married), and proud grandmother of three, I've learned the value of nurturing and guiding the next generation. My journey in youth ministry spans over two decades, from leading Awana groups to volunteering in various church youth programs. Having benefited greatly from youth group myself during high school, I'm passionate about providing support and guidance to young people today. I'm thrilled to be part of a community that helps shape and inspire the next generation!

Middle School Youth Leader
Shane Espersen
I'm passionate about working with youth because we share a love for creativity, games, and high-energy connection. The teachings of Ephesians and the simple question "WWJD" have shaped me into a man who values empathy, reconciliation, and building community across divides. I believe that through Jesus, we are all reconciled to God and each other, and that this truth calls us to live with love, integrity, and spiritual strength every day.

Middle School Youth Leader
Jay Seaton
My name is Jay Seaton, I live in Port Orchard and have 3 boys. I was in the Air Force for 10 years where I worked on the flight line maintaining B-1 Bombers and working as a crew chief. I coached highschool select and middle school baseball for almost 20 years and I have a deep love for connecting with youth and helping them to grow their understandings of themselves and their relationships with God.
Meet our leaders.

Youth Leader
Tara Haag
Howdy! I'm Tara, a lifelong churchgoer who loves Jesus with my whole heart. Originally from Colorado, I now call Port Orchard my mission field, and I feel especially called to walk alongside youth as they build a foundation in God’s Word during such a formative season of life. My own youth group had a huge impact on me, and it sparked a passion to create that same kind of lasting influence for the next generation. Today, I’m blessed to serve on staff with the Next Generation Ministries Team, where I pour my time and energy into helping kids and students know and follow Jesus.

Youth Leader
Jenn Young
I am deeply passionate about my family, my community, my church, and my faith. As a youth leader, I serve in Next Gen Ministries because I believe that the next generation of Christians will be the ones to transform the global church. It is my calling to support and guide them, to be the shoulders they stand on, as they become the Christ-followers they are destined to be. I am committed to walking alongside them in their journey, equipping them with the tools and faith they need to impact the world for Christ. My heart is to see young people rise up and lead with purpose and boldness in their faith.

Youth Leader
Candice Brady
Hi, I’m Candice. I’m a wife and mom to two amazing teen daughters. I grew up in the church and was blessed to be discipled by incredible people who helped shape my walk with Jesus. Now, I feel called to pour into the next generation, sharing Christ’s love and helping our youth and kids grow in their faith.

Youth Leader
Carter Seaton
Hey, I’m Carter! I live in Port Orchard and get to hang out with the awesome students in our youth group. I love seeing people grow in their faith, ask big questions, and have a good time while doing it. Whether we’re diving into the Bible, playing games, or just grabbing snacks and talking about life, I’m all about creating a space where everyone feels welcome and encouraged.
